I was not raised celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and this year I will not be around to make a dinner so I wanted to remind you about this old post of mine for St. Patrick’s day for Irish Soda Bread…I do love the recipe. I am not familiar with other recipes for Irish Soda Bread but my recipe has zest of orange to help sweeten the bread and it does not have yeast.
If you are looking to make corned beef hash, here is a recipe from the Pioneer Woman that I would recommend. I like this recipe as she uses balsamic vinaigrette which makes this dish sound different, yet inviting for me to make.
You can always make a traditional Irish Stew, this recipe came highly recommended with great reviews. I like the simplicity of the recipe and thought if you are looking for something a little on the sophisticated side this would be your dish!
Outside of beer, I have not indulged in some of the other drinks like the Irish Flag but if you try it, let me know what you think? And of course try the Irish Bailey Cream (once your bottle of Irish Bailey Cream is opened did you know you need to keep it in the refrigerator)
For this Patrick’s Day and all days be responsible and “May the luck of the Irish be with You” 😉 I hope my ideas have given you some inspiration to cook and stay in or go out and try something new.
