So here is my story, a long time ago…I NEVER EVER drank coffee, what was wrong with me back then, right? Then I moved up to Oregon where just about everyone had a cup of coffee in their hand at all times. Sure enough, I got hooked on mochas (I even named a dog mocha) but really even then I never made coffee, I just bought coffee so I really never understood coffee like I do today.
Now, jump forward and 16 years ago I moved back to California which meant I was hosting a lot of gatherings with friends. I can remember it like it was yesterday, it was the fall and after our typical eating and socializing, we all decided to go out on my boat, so I made coffee for everyone. Here’s the thing…even though I knew how to throw a great gathering, making that pot of coffee was another story. I can remember my friend Jennifer trying so hard to drink this “flavored water” that I called coffee and even throwing it overboard, YIKES!
Of course that put me in a tailspin and I decided that I would no longer be the girl who made coffee drinks that looked amazing (like with whip cream and shaved chocolate) but I would be the girl that would always have amazing coffee on hand, who knew how to make it and who may put whip cream and shaved chocolate just because, lol.
Well I have tried many different coffee beans, I love Dunkin Donuts when I’m visiting family in Connecticut and for home brewed coffee I used to love Seattle’s Best but then Starbucks bought them out and now it’s just like Starbucks. In the past few years, I began to drink Peet’s coffee and I just love it!
Recently I was at my local Vons market and they had the Peet’s Holiday Blend on sale (I always buy it when it’s on sale as it’s expensive if I don’t) so I thought why not try a bag. I have to say that I loved this blend of coffee so much that I immediately went out and tried to buy more as I had to have it on hand, I went to 3 different grocery stores just to find it but it was well worth the drive, I just LOVE this coffee.
Here is the packaging…oh and a cup of coffee, lol
and here is some with cream and whipped cream (no shaved chocolate)
Again, I just loved this coffee, I don’t get paid to share my thoughts about this coffee or I don’t get any sponsorship. I just thought I’d pass it along as it’s well worth the cost or experience if you can find it in your local market. Please let me know what you think when you try it? And if you like something different, please let me know what it is, I’m always up for the challenge!
