So, I recently was told that my oven is drawing too much electricity which is why my electric bill is over $500 in January. I don’t buy that to be the reason for the increase but nonetheless, I decided that maybe I needed to find a recipe that didn’t include baking.
I went back and researched old recipes that I had collected (trust me I have many recipes and cookbooks) and I stumbled upon this recipe of homemade snickers. The original recipe was not labeled as a snicker recipe but after making them, I totally think they taste like a snicker bar. I wanted to call them an everything bar because it feels like there is a little bit of everything in this recipe, you tell me what you think as I’m sure I’m going to get emailed that they taste just like a snickers.
I can promise you a few things, they are very easy to make as you use whole crackers and place them in single rows in an aluminum foiled pan, you then make a sweet sauce (I’d say carmel but everything seems to go in it), you pour that sweet sauce over your crackers and you layer another layer of crackers.
melt peanut butter, butterscotch and chocolate chips which gets poured over your crackers,
you spread it on the top of your cracker, chill it for an hour or longer…time to slice it and serve it!
I hope you enjoy this recipe as it’s a no bake…no fuss…no kidding.
