Yum…what a perfect balance from my spicy beef to an easy coleslaw recipe that tops the taco!
As most of you know I love coleslaw recipes, my coleslaw with no mayonnaise is one of my top recipes searched from my site and I think that salad is the perfect salad as a side dish for a picnic or bbq.
This coleslaw recipe is more about adding texture, and flavor to your tacos, it is not intended to be eaten as a side dish, although I am sure you can add a little oil and more seasonings and “bam” you got yourself a side dish.
In going for easy, I purchased cabbage that was already shredded, if you can not find shredded cabbage, I’d recommend purchasing the smallest head of cabbage you can find as a little goes a long way.
Place shredded cabbage in your bowl
add cilantro, shredded onions, cilantro salt, pepper and lime juice
toss and serve…it’s that easy! I apologize for the lack of photos of the finished recipe, I thought I had taken a great shot and realized, after I began to clean up the photos that I hadn’t grabbed that “great shot”. So, here is the cabbage on the spicy beef taco
For me I only add a little of the coleslaw, you can play around with it to determine if you like more crunch, flavor or let the meat stand out. Please comment below and let me know what you think of this outstanding recipe?
