I know, everyone has a blueberry crumb cake recipe…I guess it’s my turn to try one.
For those of you who know me, I had an amazing crumb cake recipe that I always made. For some reason, I decided to take a break from making the recipe and gave it a rest, then, I decided to make it again and I realized that I had lost the recipe (yikes).
I’ve tried so many recipes and could not duplicate my original favorite recipe. Well, tonight I was craving blueberries (maybe because I almost bought myself a blueberry tree at the local farmers market) and I was craving lemons…so, I figured I’d try my hand at a blueberry crumb cake using lemons.
Because I didn’t buy fresh blueberries at the market today, I used frozen berries. I’m not accustomed to putting frozen berries in my dessert and I was worried that they would “bleed” in the cake and ruin the look so I rinsed them off and I placed a tablespoon of flour on them to remove any moisture, I think this helped. If you are using fresh berries, I’m sure you can remove this step.
Hope you enjoy the recipe!
