YUMMMMMMMY…there have I said enough? I just love rice krispies (crispies) and I found that even though they are a very simple thing to make, I always had an issue making them. My sister-in-law used to make rice krispies (crispies) for me for my birthday and I had always looked forward to receiving them as I just love rice krispies (crispies).
Well, when I was working in the commercial kitchen a colleague, Caitlin, asked me to make some rice krispies (crispies) to sell up front. To be honest with you, I kind of freaked out because I was not comfortable making rice krispies (crispies) and now I was going to have to make them in a large enough batch to accommodate all who wanted them.
I was lucky though because Caitlin loved making rice krispies (crispies) and she walked me through it and showed me how easy it really was to make. And, because we had a pantry that was filled with anything a person can desire, I had fun experimenting with the ingredients, which is where the oreo came in :). What I did learn was that marshmallow brands made a huge difference (I’d only use “jet puffed”), that after you put your rice krispies into your melted butter and marshmallow, keep it on the stove top so the marshmallow really melts and what I learned most of all…rice krispies (crispies) are super easy to make! LOL
So first take your butter
I melted it over medium high heat and added my marshmallow
I stirred until it was all melted and smooth
once melted I added the rice krispies (crispies) and stirred over low heat until everything was well coated.
I added my smashed oreos, I did some extra smashed and some chunky…have fun with it!
I placed the mix in a pan, took an aluminum foil (like I did on my protein bars) and pressed down so that it’s all even. Here was the hardest part, I had to wait until they were completely cooled off to slice and enjoy…YUMMMMMMMMMY they are delicious!!!!!
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do, they are perfect for summer and a no-bake recipe!
